TAYLOR VETS
Beech House Veterinary Practice has changed its name to Taylor Vets Towcester. You may have already started to see the Taylor Vets name on things like our telephone system, emails and uniforms, bringing Towcester in line with our practices in Brackley and Middleton Cheney. We have also upgraded the facilities, including longer opening hours, adding another consultation room, air conditioning and the introduction of new services.
The practice remains in the same location at The Bell Plantation, with the same team and the same focus on providing personal, high-quality veterinary care. Your pet’s records, existing appointments and ongoing treatment continue as normal.
We are very pleased to welcome Beech House Veterinary Practice into the Taylor Vets family. You can find out more about Taylor Vets and our Towcester branch here.
Polly Smith, John Taylor, David Moore and Katy Julien became the owners of Beech House in April as the previous owners Charles and Helen Castle planned to retire. We wanted to support Charles and Helen in being able to hand the practice over to people who were local and cared first and foremost about the care of the animals they treat. Polly already knew Beech House well, having worked here 15 years ago, while John, David and Katy have built Taylor Vets around the kind of independent, personal veterinary care they all believe in.
Being part of the Taylor Vets family gives the Towcester team access to the knowledge, experience and facilities available across Brackley and Middleton Cheney, while keeping care local and personal. It also means the practices can work together when a pet would benefit from additional expertise or facilities.
Yes. The existing Towcester team remains at the heart of the practice, including Polly, who has been back at Beech House since April.
No. Taylor Vets Towcester will continue to operate from the existing practice building at The Bell Plantation.
We extended our opening hours a couple of months ago, and are now open from 8.15am– 6.15pm Monday to Friday, and 9am – 12pm on Saturday; there won’t be any further changes.
Our telephone number is the same, but our email address has changed to towcester@taylor.vet. Any messages sent to the Beech House email address will continue to reach us during the changeover.
When we took over in April, we changed the out-of-hours emergency service to operate through Taylor Vets in Brackley; the team in Brackley have full access to the medical history of all pets registered at Towcester. We are all on the emergency rota and continue to attend emergencies ourselves – we believe it is a vital part of being a vet.
The change of our name does not mean a change to our prices. As with any veterinary practice, individual fees may be reviewed from time to time, but there is no blanket price increase simply because Beech House has become Taylor Vets Towcester.
No. The change of name does not affect your pet insurance policy. We will continue to help clients with insurance claims as we always have done.
Very little has changed. You will notice the new Taylor Vets name and branding, but you will still come to the same practice and continue to receive care from the Towcester team.
It means you retain the personal relationship and continuity of a local veterinary practice, while your vet can also draw on the experience and facilities of the wider Taylor Vets family when needed, for example during out of hours or complex surgeries.
Decisions about your pet’s care remain centred on what is right for them, as an independent veterinary practice we will always do what is right for your pet.
Yes. Taylor Vets Towcester is independently owned by veterinary surgeons Polly Smith, John Taylor, David Moore and Katy Julien. John also owns Taylor Vets Brackley and co-owns Taylor Vets Middleton Cheney with David and Katy. All of the owners at Taylor Vets strongly believe in remaining independent and in you being able to talk to them if you need to.
No. If your pet was already registered at Beech House, they automatically remain registered with Taylor Vets Towcester. We’ve already made changes to our systems in the last few months; the change of name is simply that – just a change of name.
Yes. All existing clinical records remain with the practice and will continue to be available to the veterinary team.
Yes. Any appointments you already have booked remain in place. You don’t need to rebook them because of the name change.
Your existing plan will continue, and you do not need to take any action. If you haven’t yet joined our members’ club, you can sign up here or talk to one of the team in the practice.
Yes. Existing prescriptions, repeat medication and ongoing treatment plans continue as normal.
Being part of the Taylor Vets family means the three practices can work more closely together. Where appropriate, the Towcester team may arrange for your pet to be seen at Brackley or Middleton Cheney if another practice has particular facilities or expertise that would benefit them. However for the most part, your pet will be seen and treated at the practice it is registered at.
Yes. The old Beech House website now re-directs you automatically to the Taylor Vets website, and our social media also reflects the new Taylor Vets Towcester name.
