The Taylor Vets Price Promise

At Taylor Vets, your pet’s well-being is our top priority, which is why we will always be on hand to assist with any pricing questions and queries you may have regarding your pet’s treatment.

We are proud to offer the Taylor Vets Price Promise.

Our team is passionate about communicating the available treatment options for your pets, and we promise to be as transparent as we can with our prices.

We will always provide you with an estimated cost for any surgical treatment, and will always keep you informed if the cost of the treatment we provide is likely to exceed any pre-discussed estimate.

The fees that you pay for your pet’s treatment reflect the contribution and investment that our clinicians make to the wellbeing of your pet; as well as funding the services, medications, facilities and expert advice that encompass our practice.

With our Taylor Vets Price Promise there are no hidden fees, and that’s why the pricing of our surgical treatments is inclusive of post operative pain relief and a buster collar.

INSURANCE

Pet insurance can often be complex, with varying claim conditions and coverage amounts. To ensure you fully understand your policy’s limitations before your appointment, it’s helpful to review your insurance documents in advance.

Depending on your policy, we may be able to claim treatment costs directly from your insurance provider. However, this process can take several days to arrange, so if you’d like to pursue a direct claim, please discuss this with our reception team ahead of your appointment. You’ll also need to contact your insurance company to authorise our finance team to discuss your policy on your behalf.

To help us process your claim smoothly, please provide your policy details to our reception team as soon as possible following your appointment. If a direct claim is required, you must give permission to your insurer for our finance team to discuss your policy. In some cases, your insurance provider may need to email us a claim link, so we recommend checking this in advance.

When attending your appointment, please bring a signed claim form and your policy details. Without these, your claim processing may be delayed.

For indirect claims, a 50% deposit is required before any diagnostic tests or treatments are performed, with the remaining balance due when you collect your pet. You will be reimbursed by your insurance company once your claim has been processed and payment received from them.

Direct claims must be arranged before your appointment, and approval may take several days. If we agree to a direct claim but any costs are not covered by your insurance provider (e.g., excess fees), you will be responsible for paying those directly to us. Note that direct claims may not be possible if your insurance doesn’t cover the treatment, or if we anticipate that your provider won’t approve the claim after reviewing your pet’s clinical history. The final decision regarding direct claims rests with Taylor Vets.

Some insurance companies require pre-authorisation before diagnostics or treatment. This can only be arranged after an initial consultation, as the specialist must first assess your pet to estimate treatment costs. Pre-authorisations can take up to five working days to approve, so please check with your insurer before proceeding with any treatment to ensure coverage.

Please note that Taylor Vets cannot guarantee your insurer will cover all conditions or treatments, and you are liable for any balance not paid by your insurer.

For uninsured patients, a 50% deposit is required at the time of your initial consultation or before treatment begins, with the full balance due when you collect your pet.
