I studied veterinary nursing at the College of West Anglia in Cambridge and have now worked in the veterinary world for five years. During that time, I’ve worked in several first-opinion practices and have also spent some time working in out-of-hours care. I joined the Towcester team two years ago.

I always wanted to work with animals and was particularly interested in the medical side of veterinary care. I love medical nursing, especially monitoring anaesthetics, taking blood samples and placing IV catheters. It’s a career where you are always learning and things are constantly changing, although the cuddle therapy is a definite bonus!

Outside work, I write poetry, enjoy reading fantasy books and am a big Lord of the Rings fan. I have a domestic shorthair cat called Hissy, who came to me as a foster and never left. I also love bully breed dogs.
